President's Message

Dear Conejo Valley Republican Women,

As we go into campaign season, we will be hosting two candidate forums at Breakers Bar &

Grill with The Westlake Village Republican Women. Please look for the Flyer soon for all the

details. The dates are 3/19/2026 and 4/16/26. Please save these dates.

On February 7th, 2026, California Republican Chairwoman Corrin Rankin held a 2026

Election Kick Off Event in Woodland Hills. The special guest was Republican National Co Chair

K.C. Crosby. Both President Trump and the RNC Leadership realize that we in California need

National resources to win elections. Corrin has recently been to The White House to meet with

leadership. I can only assume it is about the mid-term election and the passing of Prop 50.

I would like to say that it only hurts our party to have multiple Republicans running for the

same office. In California we have a system of election process called a jungle primary. In

June’s Primary, the two top vote getters, no matter what their party affiliation, will continue to

the General Election. Since we live in a state with predominantly Democratic districts, this system

makes getting our Republican candidates to the General Election in November very difficult —for

races such as Assembly Seats. Early on, the Ventura County Republican Central Committee

endorsed candidates for several seats to give those candidates a boost to be able to win the

nomination for their seat. So, when other candidates declare that they are running for the same

seats, that puts those seats at risk for two Democrats to continue to the General Election in

November. That is the way we lost the assembly to the Democrats and literally became a

communist state. I hope the candidates who were not endorsed come to their senses soon and

drop out for the good of their districts and support the VCGOP endorsed candidate.

I would be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge the passing of Republican Patriot Steve Frank

may you rest in peace. He was a true Warrior.
